In TCM, Codonopsis (党参 dǎng shēn) has similar Qi-tonifying effects as Chinese ginseng, but its effects are gentler in nature. It strengthens the spleen and lungs, which play a key role in the production of Qi (energy) and blood, as well as our body's immune system response.

● Tonifies the spleen to improve digestive function and nutrients absorption
● Improves lung Qi deficiency symptoms (e.g. cough, shortness of breath, weak voice, spontaneous sweating during the day, aversion to cold, tiredness, pale complexion, chills, etc.)

Recommended for whom:
Suitable for everyone, especially during postpartum recovery and in supporting the immune systems of the elderly and children.
Contraindication:
Avoid use with 藜芦 (lí lú).
