Wing Joo Loong’s Chrysanthemum (上等胎菊花) comes from Zhejiang, China, using premium grade baby chrysanthemum that are harvested when the flowers are not fully bloomed. They have a delicate floral aroma and are lighter in taste as compared to the Kunlun Snow Chrysanthemum and premium Freeze Dried Kunlun Baby Snow Chrysanthemum.
For generations, chrysanthemum has been valued for its health promoting properties. As a natural coolant and diuretic, it helps to flush out toxins from the body, clear internal heat and relieve sore throats and fevers.
Benefits: Clears heat, reduces inflammation, improves vision, calms the nerves, improves skin complexion, lowers cholesterol, promotes healthy blood sugar levels, and reduces blood pressure
Taste notes: Delicately light and refreshing floral notes with a clean taste
Preparation: Infuse 2 teaspoons in hot water for about 5 minutes before consuming. For a cold brew tea, use room temperature water instead and refrigerate for 2 hours or longer if you prefer a stronger taste. (Note: It is recommended to pour away the first brew to 'wash' the tea.)
Recommendation: Infuse chrysanthemum with wolfberries or red dates to relieve tired eyes and nourish the blood, or mix chrysanthemum with some honeysuckle and rock sugar to soothe sore throat and dispel heat.
